Sumalpok? Turistang Pinay sa Taiwan, nahagip ng paparating na tren at nahulog pa sa riles
A Filipina tourist in Taiwan was accidentally grazed by a train at Shifen railway station - CCTV footage showed the woman standing and posing near the edge of the waiting platform of the train station - She raised her hands right in time when a train was about to arrive, resulting in her being grazed by it.
The Filipina tourist was knocked down on her feet and even fell in between the waiting platform and the train itself.
Miraculously, she was not seriously hurt. She only sustained injuries on her chest and head. However, although she was injured, she might face fines of not less than NT$10,000 or over PhP 17,000 because what she did was considered a violation of Taiwan's Railway Act. The Manila Economic Cultural Office (MECO) is now helping the injured Filipina.
"She was immediately brought to the hospital and is in stable condition. She, however, needs to undergo surgery for her injuries," said Atty. Cheloy Garafil, MECO's Chairperson.
